Windows 10 IoT Core is available for download right now if you want to get along with the development of your very own IoT device. I have a 64bit LattePanda board that has an Intel Atom x5-8300 CPU. It’s clear that Microsoft wants to Windows 10 to be at the heart of every type of device type imaginable, with versions running even on wearables expected in the future. Visit the Windows IoT Dev Center to choose your target board, then walk through the steps to provision your board, acquire the tools, and get started Making. Windows 10 IoT Core also brings improvements in the form of better support for Python and Node.js and brings APIs for Windows Universal Apps. We are excited to announce the public release of Windows 10 IoT Core for theRaspberry Pi 2 and the MinnowBoard Max. Microsoft released a preview build of Windows 10 IoT Core back in May, however, the company has now turned on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support for wireless connectivity to the web. Instead, devs have to build their own universal app that functions as the interface of the device. There are no windowed interface of desktop experience like you’d expect from regular Windows. Windows 10 IoT Core will run on the Raspberry Pi 2 and Minnowboard Max and the OS will function even when there’s no display attached to it. Microsoft has announced the launch of Windows 10 IoT Core, a stripped-down version of the OS that’s built to power Internet of Things devices. Windows 10 IoT Core is a version of Windows 10 that is optimised for smaller devices with or without a display, and that runs on the Raspberry Pi 2 and 3, Arrow DragonBoard 410c & MinnowBoard MAX. This package contains the bits and tools needed to install a pre-release of Windows 10 IoT Core on the MinnowBoard Max based on Intel Atom E38xx series SoC (also referred to as MBM board) and the Raspberry PI2 based on the ARM Cortex-A7 based SoC (also referred to as the RPI).
